IRO is a mobile colour game built and published by Tomaž Drnovšek. This policy explains what data the app handles, and how.

What the app collects

Nothing.

The app runs entirely offline after installation. There are no user accounts, no logins and no servers to communicate with. It makes no network requests of any kind. There is no analytics, no telemetry, no advertising, no crash reporting and no third-party SDK that transmits data.

What the app stores on your device

The app keeps your progress on your device, in its own private storage: your rounds and scores, your settings, and any names you give to colours or plates. This data never leaves your device. Uninstalling the app removes it, and Settings › Start over erases it without uninstalling.

If you have Android's device backup turned on, your phone may include the app's save in your own Google account backup, so it can be restored on a new phone. That copy is made by your phone's operating system under your own backup setting. IRO does not send it and cannot read it.

Exporting your save

You can export your save from Settings. The app hands the file to your phone's share sheet and it goes wherever you choose to send it. IRO does not see where. Importing a save reads a file you pick, on your device.

Permissions

On Android the app asks for one permission: vibration, for haptic feedback, which you can turn off in Settings. It does not have permission to use the internet, and it does not request access to contacts, photos, location, microphone, camera or any other device data.

Children

The app collects no data from anyone, including children under thirteen.

Third-party services

The app integrates with no third-party services. The Google Play Store and the Apple App Store handle distribution and may collect data under their own policies, which are outside IRO's control.

About this website

This policy describes the app. The website at theirogame.com is a separate surface, used to introduce the game. It runs Vercel Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights, which record aggregate visit data. No data from the website is shared with the app, and no data from the app is shared with the website.

If you email us, including to ask to hear when IRO launches, your email address reaches us. It is used to reply and, if you asked, to send that one launch message.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the new version replaces this page and the Last updated date is revised.
